No7 Protect & Perfect Lip Care

As boots have been giving out £5 vouchers for No7 like candy, I decided to try something from the Protect & Perfect range.

After a long hard look online I opted for the lip care cream as the reviews on the boots website were quite good and as i've become obsessed with lipstick of late I thought it would be a good lipstick base.

The cream comes in a 10ml tube

The back of the box reads as so:

"Retexturises and Firms - This rich, conditioning balm boosts moisture for 24 hours, leaving you with softer, healthier looking lips. Contains lipo-peptides to help smooth away lip roughness and our patent pending antioxidant complex to help protect your lips from the environment.
A little lip care everyday..... Smooth on and around your lips every morning and anytime they need a little extra care, given you a great base for favourite lipstick.
Created with care.... We created this hypo-allergenic product using only ingredients we know and trust"
That is quite in-depth breakdown of the cream.

The tube has a lip applicator at the end making it easy to apply

The texture of the cream is like well cream!!! a nice thick rich body cream type texture

Now for my verdict......

I did not like the cream at all!!!!!
Its too thick for a start, and took quite a bit of rubbing for it to be absorbed, therefore it does not act well as a lipstick base and I swear my lipstick just slid off after an hour or so.
It does not last for 24 hours as I was topping it up every few hours.
Now I had slightly chapped lips before using this but it seems to have made them even worse!!!

I wish I had saved the £4 and put it towards Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour balm which is far superior to this in every way.

In the meantime I will be sticking to my tub of vasaline.

1 star out of 5

If you would like to try this and see if works for you can get it at either www.boots.com or in store on sale for £9 if you have a £5 off voucher I suggest you use it!!!

Sleek's Brow kit!! (under £10)

Sleek's Brow kit

First of all let me say "thank god for sleek's brow kit".

Secondly, I had my eyebrows threaded for the first time in almost four weeks ( i was growing them out, because the last person i went to messed them up big time! hmmm) today, and let me put it like this, i have come to the conclusion that i have the worst luck in the world when it comes to my, eyebrows, even though I told the so called "professional threader" what i wanted, she still messed up my brows! tut tut tut!...yesssssss, I will be doing my own eyebrows in the, future.

With that being said, I went straight to my local superdrugs and picked up this kit (now i love my mally brow fix) it comes in two shades light and dark, I picked up the dark as i have dark hair.
How to use
First you use the wax to shape and define your brows, with the angled brush provided, then you set the colour with the setting powder using the blending brush (you also get a mini tweezer in this kit! ) also provided.

My view's on this product!
Three words, buy this now! its ahhh-mazing, it makes your eyebrows, look groomed, without looking over done, and at £6.50 ( and in superdrug stores right now, its 3for2 on all make-up woooo hooo!) this brow kit is a bargin.

You can buy this from most superdrug stores, or direct from sleek's website  www.sleekmakeup.com

I am loving the sleek brand right now, if you are on a budget and want good quality, cheap in price make-up, sleek is the way forward.

Boots 17 Magnetized Nail Polish

Boots 17 Magnetized Nail Polish

The only way I can explain what happen to me in boots is "it was like an out of body experience" lol! I swear, I saw myself grabbing the nail polish and then running ( like a maniac might i add!) to the tills! errrrhmmmm!

When I first heard about this new nail effect I was so excited and could not wait to try it out.

If you are a person who always buys from the 17 range then this might seem a tad bit expensive to you, as there nail polishes usually range from £2.99-£4.00, if however you love nail polishes like OPI, and Nails Inc, Zoya, (just to name a few) then this nail polish is a STEAL! at £5.99.

Before you apply this nail polish, you need to use a base coat ( well, before you apply any nail colour really!)  and after you apply the colour, you need to apply a top coat, it makes it last longer.

After you've applied your base coat, allow to dry then apply the polish, whilst still wet place the magnet over the nail for 10-20secounds and wait for the effect to develop, when dry apply a top coat, simple.

You can buy this product from most boots stores, or you can get it direct from there website http://www.boots.com/  this polish comes in 4 colours blue (which is pictured above) green, purple, and a gun metal grey.

Coconut Oil Hair Shine ( Body Shop)

The Body Shop's Coconut Oil Hair Shine
When the weather starts to get colder, I tend to wear my hair  in a protective style (in a hair bun,so that the ends of my hair are hidden) and I was on the hunt for a hair product that adds shine, but doesn't look greasy, as i do not know about you, but I do not like the feeling of grease in my hair, i do not like my hair feeling weighed down with products.

This hair shine is beautiful, you do not need alot of it, as you can see from the picture above, this is a solid oil, which turns into a balm in your hands, it gives amazing, ahhh-maaa-zin! shine to the hair and, the thing I adore about this product is, it doesn't leave your hair feeling or looking greasy.
If you are looking for a product that adds shine, but doesn't weigh down the hair then this is the product for you! and i forgot to mention that it smells lush also.

How to use: Just apply over dry hair,

This product can be used on all hair types!

you can buy this direct from there website www.thebodyshop.co.uk  it costs £4.85 or you can pop into any of the stores...

BOBBI BROWN'S LONG-WEAR GEL EYELINER (with bobbi brown's ultra fine eyeliner brush)

As of right now I have a thing for eyeliners, and not just any random eyeliner, but Bobbi Brown's long-wear gel eyeliners.

I've always adored the look of liquid eyeliners, they just look so intense, but i could never master the art of applying it (well without almost poking out my eyes!) so i've always just stuck to pencils, that is, until gel eyeliners, thank you Bobbi brown!

When I first heard about this product, I have to be honest I was not holding my breath, no excitement, nothing, as you can tell, I was not convinced at all! in fact i thought to myself "hmmm gel eyeliner, long lasting, oh please your having ah laugh!".

hmmmm.......how wrong was I!

This product is amazing, ahhhhh-ma-zing and worth every single penny! the eyeliner is creamy but not sticky, its thick but not to thick, so it glides on so easy and smooth.

"you know sometimes when you apply eyeliner and a few hours into the day you have to re-apply it! arghhh, used to drive me to nuts"

With Bobbi brown's long-wear gel eyeliner, it will not move until you TAKE IT OFF! I don't know about you, but i do not have time to keep on re-applying eyeliner every second...even when you use this eyeliner on your waterline it will not budge, this stuff really is long lasting.

The Bobbi brown's ultra fine eyeliner brush, makes applying the eyeliner that much more effortless, once you try one Bobbi brown gel, (addiction warning!) you will want them all ALL.

"to me this is a must have for anyone who likes make-up to stay put"

You can buy both of these products directly from Bobbi brown's website http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/
the gel liner costs £16.50 and the brush costs £21.00, direct from the website

OR......DRUM ROLL PU-LEZZZZZZZ........

You can also buy these products from http://www.qvcuk.com/  where you will get two gel eyeliners a mini mascara and yesss I did say AND, the utlra fine eyeliner brush (for £31.50)...lol! I don't know about you, but I know where I would go! errrrhmmmmmmm.

enjoy x

PS. I forgot to mention with qvc you will have to pay for p&p ( postage and package) but it will not be much!

...do it do it NOW!
