E.L.F Eyelid Primer & Face Value??

We have been a bit slack on the reviews this week so here is one by S and a short piece on the cost of face creams by M, enjoy x

ELF EYELID PRIMER

When I first heard about this product, i must say, i was not convinced at all, i mean at £1.50, i had my doubts, but because of all the hype over this eyelid primer( just check it out on YouTube!) i just had to give it a try, and lets face it (lets be real!!!) at £1.50, yes, that's one pound and fifty pence, i decided to give it a go! and let me tell you i am glad i did.

DIRECTIONS:-

Apply a thin layer to eyelid and blend in with ring finger (err before you put your eye shadow on) allow to dry completely.

I have used a few eyelid primers, bare minerals, urban decay primer potion, and although they are very good, them brands are not cheap. when i first used this product, i was very impressed, not only does it dry fast (within seconds!) but my eye shadow did not crease all day, now that, is impressive for a product that costs less then a Starbucks coffee..

It just goes to show, that anyone can buy the latest beauty products for a fraction of the price! as not everyone can afford mac, or urban decay..and as far as i am concerned, if it works, its a keeper.

so, if you are a person who's always wanted to try an eyelid primer but have been put off with the prices of some of them out there, please try this one, it's cheap, and it does what it says!

you can find this eyelid primer at

FACE VALUE??

A few months back I found that i had 2 vouchers from boots for £5 off No7 just as my day and night creams were running out, straight away  thought i would try protect and perfect  range.
I remember the hype it caused when word got round how good it was and boots had finally restocked, passing the mile long queue I thought "wow, this must be really good"  and vowed that i would try it as soon as i could.
fast forward 2 or so years later, i never got around to trying it what with me getting pregnant and my skin going completely mental afterwards.
So I went along to Boots to pick them up and to my horror the £5 voucher hardly made a dent in the price so i went for the cheaper endless moisture range instead but it got me thinking about the cost of face creams in general.
I sure I'm not the only one to notice but the cost of face creams seem have shot up lately, gone are the days when you could get a whole 5 piece set (that's face wash, cleanser, toner, day cream and night cream) for under £30, unless there is a special offer going on at the time.
is there really a difference between a £6 cream and a £40 one?? are we actually getting value for money?? It seems the more claims they make about what the cream can do for your skin the more expensive it is.

Plus it can be ever so confusing as one minute your hearing about a must have face cream for jaw dropping £200 you think to yourself "am i spending too little on my face cream"  then before you know it  your hearing about the miracle £1.89 one from a supermarket!!! what is a girl to do??

As expensive as i thought the protect and perfect range was it actually is one of the more reasonably priced ranges out there.

i guess it all boils down to what your budget is.

But it seems to me that beauty companies have us by the balls as face creams are an absolute essential for us.  it is something that no woman no matter her age can or will go without.

So I'm going to start saving for when I next run out, I suggest you do the same…..

M x
