L'oreal Paris Caresse Lipstick

Today I took advantage of the Superdrug offer of 3 for 2 across all makeup, and picked up 3 L'oreal Paris Caresse lipsticks

I have been looking at these lipsticks for a while but was actually going to pick up Revlon's lip butters but after trying out the testers I opted for these, as I felt they had a lighter texture, which will be perfect for summer, when it finally arrives!!!!

06 - Aphrodite Scarlet

A yummy coral pink shimmer

07 - Cheeky Magenta

A soft hot pink

202 - Impulsive Fuchsia

A lovely deep fuchsia, my favourite out of the 3 of them, this is how it looks on.

The whole Caresse range is avalible from superdrug priced at £7.99 each or £14.98 for 3 whilst the 3 for 2 offer is on x

No "Hope" for me! :-(

Philosophy's Hope in a Jar

hope in a jar
Having heard that Oprah uses this product I took my fast self and bought it off of QVC, as they had a special offer at the time, and I thought "well if it's good enough for Oprah"....mmmmmhmmmmm...

So after I finished up using my superdrugs day face cream, I started to use this....whilst singing "well, if it's good enough for Oprah.....mmmhmmmm....

The very first opened this, I was impressed by the silver seal, still smiling at this point by the way.....

....then I peeled of the seal, and the smell, lord have mercy! the smell, disgusting, (errrhmmmm) a normal human being would have said to themselves " hell no, your not going on my face mate"  but not me,ohh no not me, I just kept on thinking of Oprah..even after an hour with this product on my face, even though I could still smell the disgusting scent as it did linger for hours, even after all that i used this for almost a month..

I started to notice my face feeling tight and then I started to break out! ( the little white bumps under the skin, vexed!) really I should've known from the scent that it was far too strong for me...so "no hope in that jar for me". If you have sensitive skin, I would stay far far away from this!

This is there little caption on the jar "Where there is hope there can be faith. Where there is faith miracles can occur"....

My version is "Where there is hope, you will not find it in this jar, for where there is no faith, there is no hope in this frigging JAR!!"....

I will be slam dunking this (Jordan style!!!), into my recycle bin, right now! and NEVER buy this again!

If you can take strong chemically smells, this might work for you....good luck with that..

Final Word:-Oprah you can keep your "Hope in a Jar"

Just goes to show just because it works for someone eles doesn't mean it will work for you....

E.L.F High Definition Powder & M.A.C's FIX +

E.L.F's HD Powder

I can not rave enough about some of elf's products, and this is another amazing find from elf! now if you've never heard of www.eyeslipsface.co.uk where have you been?!!!

What E.L.F Claims

"The high definition loose powder creates a "soft focus" effect to the skin, masks fine lines and imperfections for a radiant complexion. The incredibly soft and invisible powder is great for on screen and everyday wear".

My Review

I must admit when I first used this product I was a tad bit "heavy handed" and used a bit to much, and a dark skin person looking like Casper the friendly ghost is never a good look!!! so a little goes a very long way in regards to this setting powder. I used to apply this directly after my foundation, it lasted for around 3hrs before I experienced any sort of shine,so I had to keep topping it up. If you are on a budget and want to try a HD face powder think about giving this a try, it cheap, at £6 for 8g of product, which is value for money in my eyes,  the packaging looks expensive and it will last you a long time...I will be buying this product again and again.

" I now use this powder in a slightly different way , so keep reading to find out!"

M.A.Cs FIX +

I've always been curious about this product, as I heard a lot of great things about it, and always wanted to try it, but was put of by the price...Earlier this year me and "M" where in westfield shopping, and happened to walk into M.A.C, ( hay who knows how it happens to us, it just does! errhmmmm) and decided to take the plunge ( I closed my eyes :-/ ) and buy fix plus, as it was my first time using this I bought the 30ml size which costs a jaw dropping £7, trust me, i was not impressed by the price!

My Review

After I applied my ( liquid or powder) foundation I spayed this a few times over my face, I was very impressed, not only did it set my makeup, it didn't make my face feel dry, sadly it lasted for a few hours, and I had to top it up again..

My new way of setting my foundation...

After I apply my foundation, I spray my face with M.A.C's Fix +, then I leave it to set, I then apply my E.L.F Hd powder! results, oh my lifeeee, I love this combo, for me it is perfect, and my foundation lasts longer, without the dreaded shine...

The M.A.C Fix Plus comes on two sizes 30ml £7 ( above picture is 30ml) or 100ml £12.50 you can buy these from your nearest store or online at www.maccosmetics.co.uk

The E.L.F High Definition Powder ( from there studio line) you can only get on line from www.eyeslipsface.co.uk and costs £6

" I will be buying the 100ml of fix plus"
